Atlanta Tight Lines Bass Club – working with the Boy Scouts

The Atlanta Tight Lines Bass Club is focused on stimulating public awareness of Bass Fishing as a major sport. We strive to promote and encourage youth fishing and a love for this great recreation through both education and conservation.

This year on April 23rd, we took the children to the GA Department of Natural Resources Fish Hatchery Headquarters located in Social Circle, GA. Each child was able to catch multiple fish during the event.

We focus on children who may never receive an opportunity to go fishing. A typical event starts at 7 AM for club members and 8 AM for the children. This year, we had seven club members that hosted 25 children between ages of 5 and 15. We taught these young eager children fishing techniques, conservation and water safety. Additionally, while with these impressionable minds, we strive to give encouraging words and an open ear so they may leave with a positive life changing experience.

Attached are photos of our club doing its part to promote fishing and to promote the GA Bass Federation.

We love to fish, and we take care of the Parks and Recreation. We always take a few minutes to clean up after tournament around the marina. We like to leave things better than we found them.
